Most folks incorporate some of their favorite activities into bachelor and bachelorette parties to fill the time between all of the partying. So it should be no surprise that I chose to spend some time outdoors during my Bachelor Party Weekend this July in Puerto Rico.
Getting started in the outdoors can be a challenge. Knowing where to go, what to do, and what gear you need requires some thought and planning, which can seem daunting in itself. Here are a few tips to get you started, provide some motivation, and finally help you share your experiences with others!
I was the kid who asked his parents to pull over and save the box turtle attempting to cross the street, kept abandoned bird eggs warm, and created a fort for a baby rabbit in the yard that broke its leg. When I wasn’t physically outside, my imagination was still there as I drowned myself in Magic School Bus and Bill Nye episodes.
It’s difficult to put into words the majesty and intrigue that the outdoors cast over me like a spell at a very young age, but it never left.
